DIY Portable Bed Hack
We used a foldable travel mattress + fitted cot sheet, paired with rolled towels as bed bumpers. It worked perfectly in hotels and Airbnb stays where extra beds weren’t available.

The reward bag worked wonders for long drives.

DIY bed setup saved us at least 3 nights in hotels that didn’t provide extras.

Offline maps were a lifesaver in mountainous areas.
-
Keeping one empty duffel bag helped with laundry and souvenirs.

Along the way, we made a refreshing two-hour stop at Lake Braies, a true alpine gem and the largest natural lake in the region. Surrounded by towering peaks and lush forests, the lake’s crystal-clear waters perfectly reflected the dramatic sky and rugged mountains, creating a breathtaking mirror-like surface that captivated us instantly.

Visiting Disneyland Paris in early October was the perfect choice—not only were the crowds manageable, but the entire park was decked out for Halloween! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by spooky decorations everywhere. Pumpkins, ghostly characters, and cobwebs covered the park, making it feel like we had stepped into a Halloween wonderland.

Our next stop was the Louvre Museum. While we knew the kids wouldn’t have the patience for a full tour, we managed to catch a glimpse of the famous glass pyramid and let the boys run around in the courtyard before moving on.
